35mm Slide Scanner for iPhone

A few months back I had a nice idea for an iPhone accessory. I've seen loads of lens adaptors and various mounts so it seems you can get some pretty decent images out of smart phone cameras. I also have a large collection of 35mm slides up in my loft that I would love to backup and post to Facebook. My "Slide Scanner" idea positions the phone at the closest macro distance (about 100mm) from the slide. There is a tiny hole for the lens of the iPhone to shoot through and this aligns with the slide.
It would be great if a small app could be written that would automatically colour correct the image, rotate it and crop it to the border of the film. The inside walls of the product would be a matt black finish to prevent any light bounce and the product would sit on top of a light box. I don't have the time to develop this idea further but the results are not bad and if anyone would like to get in contact about moving this along please email me at mark@fusionweld.com.

The results above are from a quick protoype I made using an iPhone 4. I think the results would be a lot better with the iPhone 4GS or another high end smartphone or camera. This would be a great product to offer as a 3D Print, I think it would be great if it would snap together from a flat pack shape to save on volume.

Acquisition of the studies and education are potent and very discreteness concepts of the studies. It is theoretical and conceptual in all matters and issues. It is skills of the students that are significant and pivotal.

Hm, that's pretty interesting idea. And as far as I've understoo, it doesn't require any special devices.

Thanks, no nothing special just a level gap between the camera lens and the 35mm slide. Ideally a light-box with an even brightness is required to get a good image.
